About TPA

TPA Theatre School is not a Franchise. It is a vibrant independent theatre school established in 2009 by Principal, Jemma Carlisle in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. The school aims to enable young people who have a passion for performing arts to develop their talent through performance in acting, singing and dancing.

TPA is run by experienced and dedicated Theatre professionals who are passionate about what they do and how they do it.

Our students have the opportunity to perform in a number of productions throughout the year including fully staged musicals together with other regular performances and presentations.

We are proud that we are innovative in that many of our musicals and one act productions (which have been critically acclaimed) are written in-house specifically for performance by young people.

Whether students wish to pursue a career in performing arts or simply want to learn new skills, meet new people, build confidence and have a lot of fun along the way we are confident that the best training and performance opportunities are offered by TPA.

Important Notice

It is with the greatest sadness we announce that both the Gainsborough and Welton branches of TPA Theatre School, including JCDC and the Singing Group, will be suspended for the present time following the government direction that all schools should close to help delay the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

This suspension will be for the duration of the current public health emergency and all our activities will return to full operation as soon as it is safe and permissible to do so. This will inevitably cause the postponement of the Welton ‘Absolutely!’ May production to a later date and we will keep the Gainsborough July production of ‘Beyond The Rainbow’ under review.

Please keep an eye on this website as well as our Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp for more information and updates which we’ll be posting throughout the suspension period. We are truly sorry for the disappointment and sadness this will inevitably cause but the safety of all our members and their families has to be prioritised. We ourselves, remain heartbroken by it.

Take care everyone and stay safe out there

Jemma, Christine & Greg
